Cadman in the forest.

Cadman’s Story

Cadman is 9 years old and has Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD). He loves swimming, playing on swings and slides, throwing balls, thinks anything stinky or yucky is hilarious, is a big fan of Blippi, and adores his little sister Emma.

Developmental milestones have all come very slowly for Cadman and each one is cause for lots of celebration in our house. This year, Cadman learned to fill his own water cup and can now recognize most letters in the alphabet and is starting to work on some reading goals at school.

He had a rough start to 2024 with the return of seizures–once in February and again in November, Cadman had multiple seizures in one day, ambulance rides and an overnight stay in the hospital.

Through all the challenges, Cadman’s joy and determination continue to shine, reminding us to celebrate every victory, big or small. With your support, we can keep funding research and hope for a brighter future for Cadman and others living with CTD. Together, we can make a difference.
