Logan’s Story
Logan was diagnosed with CTD right before his 2nd birthday. We weren’t sure if he’d get strong enough to climb on playground equipment on his own, and when he started preschool at 3 we told his teacher we didn’t know if Logan would ever talk.
Logan is turning 6 in April and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress he has made: he runs around playgrounds and trampoline parks like a little daredevil now. He loves to ride all the rides at whatever amusement park we visit. He also likes to visit and pet the goats at petting zoos.
His expressive language has only been improving everyday and his kindergarten teacher says that sometimes he can talk too much. He is a little hard to understand at times, but will surprise us with a new word all the time. He loves to read all the names of the stores and restaurants we pass in the car! Logan also recently has a deep need to know where each car or truck is going… so that makes for chatty car rides.
Logan loves to play and cuddle with his dog, Dusty and is now trying to search for videos on YouTube by spelling the words out in the search bar! He likes to play with blocks and cars. He loves to eat, especially whatever Daddy is eating, and tries new foods during school lunch. His favorite color is orange and he currently likes the Beauty and the Beast live action soundtrack.
Your support helps the Association for Creatine Deficiencies continue to fund projects that may eventually treat or cure Logan’s CTD. We would love a treatment that gets him closer to being toilet trained, improves his fine motor skills to make school easier, and to help him gain a little more weight.
