Crosby

Crosby’s Story

Crosby is 6 years old and has Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD).

He loves being active by playing outside, swinging, jumping, and swimming! He also loves all things Bluey, Moana, Sing, Cocomelon, Cars, and Frozen. He especially loves his brother Maddox and his dog Daisy.

Developmental milestones have all come very slowly for Crosby and each one is cause for lots of celebration in our house. This year, Crosby started kindergarten and is now attending school all day long for 5 days a week. He has been rocking it and picking up more and more words/approximations. We are so proud of him.

We have had a tough year with seizures. After being nearly 3 years seizure-free, we found Crosby seizing in the morning on June 18th, just 3 days after our big Walk for Strength event. He ended up being taken by ambulance to Eau Claire and then flown to Children’s Minnesota in St. Paul. He was there for 8 days and at one point had 14 seizures in 24 hours. This has been followed by a fall and winter of occasional seizures and constant medication increases, but we continue to remain hopeful that we can again get his seizures managed.

We look forward to Holiday Heroes each year when we get to surround Crosby with so much love and support, and raise funds for ongoing research efforts to find a treatment and eventually a cure for CTD.
