Woodward Tribe was the first newborn flagged for GAMT by Utah’s newborn screening test. As GAMT is an extremely rare genetic disorder, Woodward’s diagnosis proved Utah’s newborn screening test to be effective. His case is the evidence researchers and advocates needed in the campaign to add GAMT to the newborn screening test on a national level.
